| Your expertise is invaluable! Put it to good use and help future students choose where to study or provide advice to students about to leave. They'll love to hear it from you, and you'll enjoy talking and writing about your time abroad. It's a great way to reflect on your experience! 1. Join the Alumni Referral List - Being on the referral list gives AustraLearn permission to give potential participants your email and/or phone number so they can contact you if they need advice on which university to attend. You may also be contacted by students who have already applied, but want to know more about what it was like to attend your university abroad. To join the referral list, email alumni@australearn.org with "join referral list" in the subject and your name, Aus/NZ uni, semester attended, home uni, phone number, and email address. 2. Write a letter to a typical student about to leave on the study abroad program - The letter can be completely anonymous and can address topics such as fears/concerns, travel tips, cultural adjustment tips, university/campus activities you recommend. Submit it to alumni@australearn.org, and AustraLearn will send it to students before their departure. 3. Attend a pre-departure session held by your study abroad office - If your university hosts a pre-departure meeting, ask if you can come attend and give advice to students about to leave. Report your involvement by submitting the Activities Report Form. NEXT SET OF ACTIVITIES BEGIN THE enCOMPASS PROGRAM NOW |
