| The following activities are ways to share your experiences in person and actively promote study abroad on your own university's campus or within your community. AustraLearn can provide you with materials to hand out and a way to gather names of interested students that we'll follow up with. You can bring photos and memorabilia to share with interested students so that it's easier to share your stories. 1. Host an information table - Ask your study abroad or student affairs office how to book an information table in your university's student center or residence halls, and book a table at your own convenience. Hosting an information table in a busy spot allows students to come up to you in their free time and answer questions about how to study abroad. 2. Host an information session - Ask your study abroad or student affairs office how to book a room somewhere on campus, as well as how to advertise the event at your university. You can do a presentation or just make yourself available for students to stop by and ask you questions. 3. Do a presentation in front of one or more classes/student organizations - Work with your professors, academic advisor, or study abroad office to share your experience with classes on your campus. Or present to a student organization such as a sorority or fraternity. The presentations can be formal or informal. 4. Attend a study abroad fair with an AustraLearn Representative - AustraLearn visits most campuses once or twice a year for study abroad fairs or other promotional events. You can attend part of the fair with our AustraLearn Rep and help distribute information and share your own stories and photos. For an effective event, read through the guide to promoting study abroad, including advice on how to set up the event, what to talk about, and how to follow up. To report your completion of any of these four activities, submit the Activities Report Form and email a summary of the activity (number of students you spoke to, level of interest, most frequently asked questions, tips for further promoters, etc.) to alumni@australearn.org.
