| Internships in a foreign country offer benefits beyond just professional development. An internship in Australia or New Zealand presents an independent opportunity to be completely immersed within the culture and work environment. Learning from native Australians or New Zealanders provides an intimate view into the true beauty of the culture and customs, and as an English speaking destination, the issues of language will not obstruct the experience. The experience of interning in Australia and New Zealand lends a real-world understanding of countries rich in culture, which cannot be achieved through travel and study alone. Australearn offers two very unique opportunities for a top-rated internship experience in Australia and New Zealand through the AustraLearn Internship Program: PDAC INTERNSHIPS The Professional Development for Academic Credit (PDAC) Internship placements are 10-week, pre-set, and high quality professional development opportunities for six academic credits from Chapman University. Chapman University is an established university located in Orange, California, with a strong mission in developing global citizens. PDAC Internships are currently offered three times a year and placements are available in almost every field of study. These placements include group flight assistance and the AustraLearn in-country group Program Introduction. CUSTOM DESIGNED INTERNSHIPS AustraLearn Custom Designed Internships are select internships created for students who cannot participate in the PDAC placements due to conflicts with the PDAC pre-set dates and program length. These very independent placements do not include credit, the AustraLearn Program Introduction, or group flight arrangements. Students applying for Custom Designed Internship placements that seek academic credit must arrange credit through their home university. Academic requirements must be provided to AustraLearn with the student’s application. Additional fees may apply for coordinating academic assessment. |
