| As of April 26, 2008, all individuals granted a student visa for Australia will automatically be given work permission (in the past students had to submit an additional application upon arrival in Australia). You will be allowed to work 20 hours per week during the semester and full time over semester breaks. We recommend that you do not base your expenses on obtaining employment while in Australia, as it may not be available. If you do work, be sure to concentrate on academic study while in Australia and find time to enjoy other opportunities accessible to you.
