Overview

The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) was established in 1996. In the last decade, it has developed a proven track record of providing its students with an educational experience of the highest quality in an environment that prepares them for the demands of their future career.
Graduates leave with an internationally recognised Bachelor of Business Administration Degree or Masters Degree conferred by the highly regarded Macquarie University, rated amongst the world’s top 100 universities by the London Times Higher Education Supplement in 2005.
ICMS is also affiliated with “César Ritz” colleges in Switzerland, one of Europe’s first and finest hotel schools, adding to its international standing. As an ICMS student, you will also have the opportunity of international exchange with a “César Ritz” college in Switzerland or the USA.
ICMS is highly regarded by industry professionals and has won many awards in the last decade. Most recently, ICMS was winner of the 2004/2005 Australian Tourism Award for Excellence in Tourism Education & Training and the 2006 Premiers Export Award for Education.

Location

The ICMS campus is situated on Sydney Harbour's North Head overlooking the world famous Manly Beach and Pacific Ocean. The historic site is surrounded by 20 hectares of parklands and has extensive campus facilities. The ICMS campus is just a short 15 minute fast ferry ride away from dowtown Sydney.
ICMS has not only created an authentic hotel atmosphere for students planning a career in the hospitality and tourism industries, but also contributed to the total learning environment for students in all other areas of study we offer.

Internship Opportunities

ICMS diploma and degree courses include nine months paid industry training during which students can normally expect to earn between AUD$20,000 and $30,000. This real workplace experience takes place in leading Australian and international businesses selected by the College. Many ICMS students are asked to return to their placement employer as a full-time employee after their graduation.
It’s been a key factor in attracting students from over 65 countries who have built their careers on the foundations of qualifications gained at ICMS.

There are fully equipped theory classrooms and computer laboratories with 24-hour e-mail and Internet access. You can also take advantage of a Wireless Network with access to the Internet and on-line classrooms.
The College boasts an extensive library, quiet study areas, syndicate rooms ideal for group tutorial-type activity and an academic support centre.



Housing

ICMS provides residential accommodation with 230 bedrooms at its inspiring Manly campus, and ensures a safe, friendly and tolerant study environment.
Living on campus offers you the benefits of extensive library facilities and interactive learning resources. Physical development is an integral part of life at the ICMS Manly campus, with on-site sporting facilities including tennis and basketball courts. Famous Manly Beach and Sydney Harbour are within walking distance of the College and offer countless opportunities for relaxation and extra curricular activities.

Financial Assistance

ICMS awards 12 scholarships per year to who achieve academic excellence. These are tuition scholarships toward the Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of International Business programs, and are awarded upon completion of the second or third year of study.

ICMS has more than 1000 graduates in managerial positions around the globe. The College’s dedicated Career Services Department manage an Alumni web page, meeting portal, worldwide reunions, job fairs and network meetings.

AustraLearn Coordinator


Name:Jodi Reesman and Michelle Finerty
Title:Degree Program Enrollment Coordinators
Department:Degree Programs in Australia and New Zealand
BIO:
Jodi and Michelle work in tandem in degree student services, managing student admissions and pre-departure processes to all Australian and New Zealand universities.

AustraLearn’s degree student services provides assistance and advice on accepting offers, banking and financing an overseas education, the visa application process, as well as , travel and housing arrangements.

Jodi earned her B.S. in mass communication at the University of Evansville in Indiana. She studied a semester abroad at the University of South Australia and has also been an exchange student to Germany. She has traveled through western Europe, volunteered in Guatemala, and has extensively backpacked Australia and New Zealand.

Michelle holds a B.S. in International Business from the University of Colorado at Denver. She worked in London for 6 months and has traveled extensively throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, Australia, Mexico, and Canada.
