James Cook University (JCU) is Australia's premier tropical university, offering excellence in quality teaching and research in a unique tropical setting. As the winner of the 2006 Queensland Education Export Awards, JCU offers students a choice of over 300 degrees, from undergraduate and short term study abroad programs to postgraduate coursework, research and PhDs. James Cook University's main campuses are in the northern Queensland cities of Townsville and Cairns, one of Australia’s fastest growing regions.
